The Challenge
The mobile invoicing market is deeply fragmented. Freelancers and small business owners are forced to juggle 3 to 4 different apps for invoicing, estimates, expense tracking, and reports with no unified system. Most invoice apps only handle invoices but lack estimate generation, client management, or business reports. Critical features like cloud backup, multi business support, professional PDF templates, digital signatures, and financial analytics are either unavailable or locked behind expensive monthly subscriptions. Many competing apps force users onto third party servers creating vendor lock in, and most solutions only generate documents in English making them unusable for international businesses. Available templates are often basic and unprofessional.
The Solution
I built Xinvoice as a true all in one business management system using Flutter with Clean Architecture, Drift for SQLite persistence with 24 schema migrations, and Riverpod for reactive state management. The app handles invoices with full lifecycle management from Draft to Sent to Paid to Overdue, estimates that convert directly to invoices, bills for expense tracking, and receipts. It features 26 plus professionally designed PDF templates across 7 style categories with dynamic color customization, custom logo placement, digital signatures, PAID watermark overlay, photo attachments, and multi page overflow with automatic pagination. PDFs can be generated in 10 languages including Arabic with full RTL support. The app includes complete client CRM, reusable item catalog, multi business support with independent settings, and a rich analytics dashboard with sales trends, client analytics, period comparison, and tax summaries. Google Drive sync stores data in the user own Drive with bidirectional sync and conflict resolution giving users full data ownership. RevenueCat powers the freemium subscription model with monthly, 3 month, and annual VIP plans.
The Result
Xinvoice replaced 3 to 4 separate tools with a single professional app. The 26 plus PDF templates across 7 categories give businesses a premium, professional image. Zero vendor lock in with Google Drive sync means users own and control all their data. The 10 language PDF support opened international markets that competitors cannot serve. The comprehensive analytics dashboard gives business owners complete financial visibility with sales trends, client breakdowns, and period comparisons all from their phone. The app supports 160 plus currencies and works fully offline making it accessible to businesses everywhere.
